Elizabeth Castle |

Built on a rocky islet in the 1590s, the castle was named after Queen Elizabeth I by Sir Walter Raleigh whilst he was governor of Jersey.
There are exhibitions explaining the role of the castle in Jersey's history.
Take a trip out to Elizabeth Castle on the Castle Ferry. The Charming Betty or Charming Nancy run daily to and from Elizabeth Castle. The Castle Ferry runs at high or low tide daily except in high winds.
