The City Art Centre is now closed for essential work on upgrading the air conditioning and environmental conditions and will reopen in the summer of 2010.

The City Art Centre is home to Edinburgh's fine art collection, comprising some 4,000 paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and photographs. Mostly by Scottish artists, the works range in date from the 17th century to the present.

The Centre has a programme of regularly changing temporary exhibitions, please contact the Centre by telephone or visit the web site for details.

Monday to Saturday, 10.00am - 5.00pm. Sunday 12.00pm - 5.00pm.

Admission Charges
(2010 prices)
Free. Charge made for occasional exhibitions.
