Welcome to Eastleigh Museum , right in the heart of town.
Eastleigh Museum is housed in the old Salvation Army Citadel, which dates back to 1891. The building was converted into a museum in 1986, and is jointly managed by Hampshire County Council and Eastleigh
Borough Council.
Take a tour through Eastleigh's past and discover what life was like in the 1930s with our recreation of a local engine driver's family home. The displays include: The family's living room at tea time, the scullery and the back yard.
We have
also recreated part of the Southern Railway Locomotive Erecting Workshop at Eastleigh, and there is a steam engine footplate too.
There are also temporary exhibitions, resource pack and a Museum Shop.
There is level access to all displays and public car park within 5 minutes walk.
