Claydon is an extraordinary house with remarkable 18th -century rococo and chinoiserie decoration. Features include the unique Chinese room and parquetry Grand Stairs. The Verney family have been in continuous occupation for over 380 years and the house has many mementoes of Florence Nightingale, who was a relation and regular visitor. This property is owned by The National Trust.

What's new for 2006: The famous carriage used by Florence Nightingale during the Crimean War, known as 'Florrie's Lorry', is on temporary loan to Claydon House again in 2006.
