Blackpool Tower and Circus is one of the best value days out in the North West. The Grade 1 listed building takes pride of place on the famous golden mile and celebrated its 110th birthday in 2004. At the heart of the Tower, located in the basement and between the four metal legs is the Tower Circus, with it's golden Arabesque walls creating a feeling of times gone by. The international Tower Circus (animal free) has been voted 'Best UK Circus' for the fourth successive year by the Circus Friends Association (CFA).
You can enjoy dancing or just listen to non-stop live music in the magnificent setting of the Tower Ballroom. Watch the traditional Wurlitzer Organ rise Phoenix-like from beneath the
stage or marvel at the state-of-the-art Wersi Louvre multi-keyboard system that boasts 21st century technology with over 600 different sounds! In the evening the Ballroom is transformed into a romantic setting for dancing, with candle-lit tables and the exciting sound of the big band orchestras.
Jungle Jim's - one of the country's largest indoor, adventure play areas - is a haven for children wanting to let off steam. There are huge slides, ball pools, climbing ropes and secret tunnels for children to explore.
Undersea World Aquarium, located on the ground floor, provides guests with an insight into amazing creatures of the deep. Some of the oldest residents of the Aquarium are the Pacu fish, which belong to the same family as the Piranha, and originate from the Amazon river with some of them living in the Aquarium for over 20 years and weighing over 30 kilos. The biggest display is a tank holding 32,000 gallons of water creating a scene of a hidden Roman Temple and is home to tropical marine fish from all the seas and oceans of the world.
The Tower Top Ride and the Walk of Faith offers spectacular views and on a clear day you can see as far as the Lake District and the coast of the Isle of Man up to seventy miles away. The glass floored Walk of Faith 115.8 metres (380 feet) above the promenade is not for the faint hearted.
