Bewdley Museum

Situated in the heart of the picturesque Georgian town of Bewdley, the museum offers a friendly welcome and entertaining experience for the whole family.

The museum service's collection is comprised of the Bewdley Collection - objects connected mainly with the social history of the Wyre Forest area, and the collections from the former Kidderminster Museum & Art Gallery which closed in 1990.

The Kidderminster Collection is more eclectic with geological and archaeological specimens, a fine art collection, coins, medals and other objects.

Traditional crafts are brought to life through daily demonstrations - why not lend a hand making a rope or clay pipe? Rope making demonstrations: 11.30am, 2.00pm and 3.30pm every day April - September - or take some time out in the museum's picnic area or garden, an attractive area with water features and herb beds, an ideal place to unwind.

Bewdley Museum's library focuses on the history of Bewdley, Kidderminster, Stourport and outlying regions within the Wyre Forest District, together with materials on trades and crafts associated with this area. There are also photographic and oral history archives.
