At-Bristol is a unique destination bringing science, nature and art to life. It is home to three magical attractions; Explore At-Bristol, Wildwalk-At-Bristol and IMAX Theatre At-Bristol.
New for 2006/7: a series of exhibitions especially for the under 8s.
Explore-At-Bristol is a true 21st century science centre combining the best hands-on activities with the very latest multi-media techniques. Science is brought alive through stunning visuals and over 170 interactive experiences. Find out how your brain and body tick, tax your memory and immerse yourself in stunning sensory experience. Visitors can test their personal staying power and investigate numerous
ingenious inventions. You can get into a spin on a human gyroscope, pluck a magical harp and experience the wonky side of life in the leaning lounge.
The Live Science Zone allows visitors to create, investigate and participate in live science, watch live and interactive shows, join in debates, try the hands-on exploration stations or catch up on the latest news and views. Entry to the Planetarium is free for all visitors purchasing a ticket to Explore.
Wildwalk-At-Bristol is the first of its kind in the world and offers a new
balanced perspective on the natural world. Wildwalk-At-Bristol's botanical house takes you on a journey through plant evolution and the first transitions to land that occurred 500 million years ago. As you wind your way through its steamy interior you will learn of plants' intricate structures, their extraordinary adaptations and of the communities that are dependent on them.
The IMAX Theatre is the only IMAX screen in the South West. The screen is a massive 21 metres wide and 15 metres tall and it is this
sheer size which makes the Imax experience so unique. Because the screen is so large, it fills your peripheral vision giving the impression that you are right in the middle of the action itself.
