Peak District National Park

The Peak District National Park, designated in 1951 and situated in central England, was Britain's first National Park, covering an area of approximately 1438 square km/555 square miles. The Peak District contains high rocky crags, gentle rolling hills and pretty valleys, it has long been a favourite getaway destination for people from the industrial towns surrounding the area, seeking good fresh air, an adventure, or a quiet refreshing day out.
