Aintree is the home of The Grand National, the most celebrated, the most talked about horse race in the world with a global audience of over 600 million. No one event involves a nation quite like the Grand National meeting, it is one of the most atmospheric sporting events and venues in the world. Each day of the three-day meeting is a truly momentous occasion.
Opening Day : Thursday
The first day of the Grand National meeting is an opportunity to
sample Aintree at a more relaxed pace. However, a record attendance of over 26,000 racegoers enjoyed a fantastic day's racing in 2004. The day is a great introduction to the wonderful days of racing and entertainment that lie ahead.
Ladies Day : Friday
Ladies Day at the Grand National meeting is an array of colour and fashion in all enclosures as everyone heads out for what is now the highlight of the northern social calendar. Racegoers dress to impress, there
is a Style Contest which has a fantastic prize.
The Grand National : Saturday
Undoubtedly the climax of the three day meeting, Grand National Day is packed full of excitement, tradition and anticipation. There are many luxurious hospitality suites available to enjoy the excitement of the Grand National.
